When the trails get rough, steep and unforgiving, the Whyte Sythe is built to keep charging.

Designed, developed and proven on some of the UK's toughest terrain, Sythe takes the proven ideas behind Whyte's T-160 and pushes them further. With 170mm of front travel and 160mm at the rear, progressive geometry and a robust 6061 aluminium frame, this is a bike designed for riders who want to ride harder and push their limits.

  The top-of-the-range Sythe, with an upgraded specification aimed at riders looking for maximum performance on demanding terrain. 

Made for challenging trails

Sythe is all about confidence when the trail gets steep and rough. Its progressive, proportionally sized geometry and carefully tuned suspension are designed to deliver stability and control through rock gardens, big hits and high-speed sections, while still maintaining precise handling when the trail gets tighter. 

With 170mm front and 160mm rear travel, Sythe has the suspension capability to tackle everything from technical local trails to bike-park laps and full-on enduro stages.

Mullet wheels as standard – 29er capable

Sythe comes with a mixed-wheel mullet setup, combining a 29-inch front wheel with a 27.5-inch rear for a blend of rollover capability, stability and agility.

For riders who want maximum speed and rollover, M, L and XL frames can be converted to a full 29er setup using Whyte's Shape.It system. 

Adjustable geometry

Whyte's Shape.It Link flip-chip gives you the option to fine-tune the bike to suit the trail and your riding.

Run it in Low for maximum stability and confidence on steep, fast descents, or switch to High for sharper handling, increased ground clearance and improved efficiency on longer rides. 

Proportional sizing

Sythe uses Whyte's Total Geometry approach, with size-specific geometry and carefully balanced front and rear centres across the range.

That means the bike is designed to maintain consistent handling, grip and stability as frame size increases – helping every rider feel planted, balanced and in control when the speed picks up.

Built for real-world abuse

This isn't a bike designed to be kept pristine in the shed.

Sythe features weather-sealed cable and hose ports, 2.5-inch tyre clearance, tough downtube and chainstay protection, an integrated rear mudguard and protected pivot bearings. It's built for year-round riding and the punishment that comes with riding hard.

Whyte also backs Sythe with a lifetime frame and pivot-bearing warranty for the original owner, subject to registration requirements.
